Ok - more art and more updates --

Barry  Kitson is finishing the last page of the story right now and then he will be doubling back for a series of double-page spreads that occur earlier but have over 150 characters -- I think you will all be amazed!!!!  Mick Gray has 3 pages left to ink and then the double-page spreads as soon as those get turned in.  Our colorist has about 8 pages left to color and we just sent 22 pages of dialogue off to the editor for his views SO it feels like we are rounding the home stretch here folks...

The Villains book should be flying out as a .pdf to purchasers (I sure hope) this week as soon as the fulfillment team finds some time.  We'll wait a few weeks to see if there are any typos or errors we missed and then off to the printer.

The Heroes book -- we just sent Keith Giffen's origin off to the colorist and then it is ready to be dialogued -- Keith came up with a stellar origin and we are thrilled.  Garry "Warpsmith" Leach is furiously penciling and a tidbit is below.

Doug Braithwaite will be popping by the office in 2 weeks to drop off his completed 10-page story for issue #2.  Jae Lee sent in his cover and Pat Quinn is finishing his work for the "Scrapbook."

A few treats for the eye:

Atomic Thunderbolt by Garry Leach
Jae Lee - Cover to Issue #2

Lots to show off --

Everybody is hitting on all cylinders so lets start with with a tiny panel by Barry Kitson featuring the Bill of Rights and Anthem -- one of our favorite pages in the book --

And now a panel from the page right before but with Mick Gray's glorious inks to Barry's stellar pencils --

And a few prelims to upcoming covers:

Isabedra - V cover based on All Star #12

And here is Jae Lee's prelim based on the famous Captain Marvel jr. #11 cover

And, here is Steve Scott with the Liberty Brigade version of Leading Comics #3

And, Pat Quinn tackles America's Greatest Comics #2 with a Reg'lar Fellas Variant featuring the Reg'lar Fellas and Lady Fairplay --

Hope this shows how much we have going on - Barry and Mick racing to finish the art on the graphic novel, covers and art pouring in for issue #2 and we are scripting away on the graphic novel...

As always, thank you for your continued patience as we move to finalize this book.  I'm sure everyone is disappointed in the time it is taking and I'm so sorry for that.    The Villains Origin book is being converted to .pdf and will be sent to buyers in .pdf later this month (take it to the bank) and the Sourcebook just wrapped and should be in .pdf not long after.  Hardcopies will go out all at the same time. Heroes Origin book - our wayward artist (I won't name him) swears he needs just 3 weeks and given the artwork quality, we will wait.  And, the big book is nearly done and ready for the final dialogue.  Here are two more panels from the Heroes Origin book to whet folks whistle --

1) Issue #2 - yes, as we wrap issue #1 with Ron Frenz and Barry Kitson, we have already plotted issue #2 with Doug Braithwaite and Barry Kitson.  Doug has finished his part of the book (both pencils and inks) and Barry will move to issue #2 once he finished #1.  We are NOT going to solicit #2 until it is completely done -- lesson learned.  Issue #2 will sport a cover by Alan Davis among others and that too is done.  None of this is slowing issue #1 down at all as we are down to our final 10 or so pages.  Here is the redesign of two Golden Age Characters -- White Panther and Lion Man who will make an appearance in issue #2.

2) Issue #3 - Ron Frenz has already finished a cover for issue #3 as has Joe Benitez.  Plot is done and we'll announce who we are teaming with Barry in short order.  Again, this book will not be solicited until it is done.   I thought I'd show off Ron's pencils.  Obviously, Issue #3 will have a few space characters linking up with The Liberty Brigade.
