Barry Kitson continues to WOW us with his artwork -- check out this amazing splash page

Also, MORE GOOD NEWS - we have finally proofed the Villains pdf where we are now happy with it and it should be ready to go out to purchases in .pdf form in the next week or so -- we'll update you when that happens.  And, Right Behind that is the Encyclopedia.

As for the graphic novel, we are in the home stretch of the pencils but we then need scripting time, inking, etc.   I want to thank every single person for your continued patience.  I hope these very frequent updates show you how hard we are all working on this book.

Almost the End of Year Update

Ok - we are on the upteenth proofing of the Villains Book and believe it ought to be done this week - we jut have a few words on the cover and we are then done with this one and to bed.  

On the encyclopedia, we are doing a few rewrites on a few characters --

On the Heroes Origins - we still wait on a SINGLE artist to wrap his pages (and yes, this artist knows he is very very very late -- stay tuned) -- in the meantime, we are working on the cover and we wanted to share the raw pencils and the first step inks on the Heroe's Origins cover by Chris Malgrain - hope you love it.

And, the graphic novel - we are about 15 pages left - Barry is getting back on the saddle after a nice x-mas and I should have more to show shortly.  

And for everyone, I know the book is way late and a lot of that is simply underestimating what it took to do a 200+ page project -- we've learned a huge amount and every page screams quality (we think) so be patient and we hope to wrap it up as fast as we can..

Almost X-Mas Update

Quick update for all -- the final (gosh, we hope so) round of edits were just made to the Villains Origin book so everything says we should get that out by Xmas to you in .pdf.  We are now turning the editing attention to the Encyclopedia and hope that is out quickly to each of you in .pdf as well.

In terms of art, Chris Sotomayor has colored 85 pages of the graphic (including the graphic novel bonus stories)-- here is a panel for you all to see -- and Barry just turned in pencils to page 73 and is now onto page 74.  Here is a panel for you all.

I'll be scripting pages throughout the holiday as we move into the final stages -- please do know that Barry has a several DPS pages that have 30+ characters per page so please be patient as his work is truly outstanding.

Liberty Brigade - Thanksgiving Update

Happy Thanksgiving all - we are in the final stages of proofing The Villains book and hope to have that .pdf out to you all very very soon -- we found a few typos and we are doing what we hope is the very last round of read-throughs before sending the .pdf out.  Lined up right behind that is the Encyclopedia and we are driving to get that .pdf done as well.  Both of these books will be at the printer in the next 3 weeks.

The Heroes book awaits 3 origins but the other pages in it are all penciled, inked, colored and await lettering.  We are doing all we can to chase the outstanding pages and are optimistic it will hit the printer by the end of December.  That leaves only the graphic novel -- we have 85 pages that are penciled and inked and colored; the last 8 pages of the bonus stories are being inked right now, and about 15 more pages in total to be penciled and inked/colored but these are some of the best pages in the book with some amazing double-page splashes and literally dozens of characters.  In the meantime, we are dialoguing all of these pages now so I hope we are not too late.  

Everyone has been patient and I'd ask that you just give us a bit more -- it is over 200 pages of material and it all looks amazing -- we've been showing progress pages all along so everyone can see how nicely the book is turning out.

Below are three more progress shots -- one is a group of folks that I would not want to invite for dinner and they are from the bonus story "Girls Night out" -- pencils by Garrie Gastonny (this is being inked as I type this) and after that, I wanted to show off our amazing colorist, Chris Sotomayor and his work on a page by Barry Kitson and Mick Gray and then again on one of the bonus stories featuring K the Unknown.
